They were also discontinuing New Family Tree Maker for Mac and the lesser known Family Tree Maker World Express. ![]() The blog post did not mention this, but they were not just discontinuing New Family Tree Maker for Windows, Late in 2015, when some optimistic users were still expecting to announce Family Tree Maker 2016, announced that they were discontinuing Family Tree Maker altogether.Ī kept selling the product until 2016 Jan 1, and stated they that would continue to provide support until 2017 Jan 1, at least. Family Tree Maker and TreeSync 2017 New Sync delayed Family Tree Maker 2014 discontinuationīack in 2007, rushed Family Tree Maker 2008, the first version of New Family Tree Maker, to market before it was ready.Ī New Family Tree Maker was slow, memory-hungry and buggy, and never managed to fix that, nor did seem to try very hard.
